Cradled in their tail,
The city shines bright.
Flowers blooming and glowing without fail.
For the vile burnt on the previous night,
Upon their ashes rests the precious twilight.
They lounge on their perch looking for prey,
Resting their paws from the long, arduous fight,
Nothing escapes their gaze, for come what may,
The Purveyor of Justice resides in shades of grey.
 
A 20” x 25” Mixed media on watercolour paper artwork that works in tandem with the poem mentioned above, where the poem represents the paintings and the painting represents the poem. Both are inspired by the idea of a fox being a morally grey being, capable of providing judgment for others.
