A 24” x 30” mixed media painting, consisting of an Acrylic textured base, piped Acrylic texture layer, and finally the oil painting. This artwork is the depiction of how Libra, a symbol of Justice and a known Zodiac symbol, can be perceived. It derives inspiration from the Greek Legend of Libra, originating from the goddess Themis, and the storm that brews in people’s minds while awaiting judgment. The symbol Libra also represents balance, which comes out in the painting in the form of a balance between the calm skies and turbulent waters, like two sides of a coin.
